About the Workshop
This workshop will introduce possible issues in children’s voice so as to raise parents’ awareness of the importance of good vocal health, and let parents understand their important roles in nurturing their children’s healthy voice. This workshop will also share examples and practical tips on voice care with parents, and demonstrate how to encourage children to produce a healthy voice through parent-child games and activities.
About the speaker
Dr Estella Ma is the Director of the Voice Research Laboratory and an Associate Professor of the Academic Unit of Human Communication, Development, and Information Sciences at the Faculty of Education, The University of Hong Kong. Dr Ma is committed to applying her research findings to clinical applications and incorporating them into voice care strategies in the community. She is often invited by schools and institutions to hold voice care workshops for speakers and people who need to use their voices for a long period of time.
